The L&I web site says "the '06 IFC is adopted only to extent referenced in the '06 IBC". What does that mean? I can't find where it states this in the UCC. Secton 101.4.6 of the IBC references the IFC but is very vague. I'm trying to figure out if I can enforce as a inspector section 505.1 of the IFC that says a building must have a address I.D on it.

For new commercial buildings IBC 501.2 requires site address numbers to be posted. For new residential it's 321.1. For existing buildings it would be based on the property maintainence code of your municipality.

Thanks, I could not find that section in the IBC, but I still can't find where it says in the UCC about only using the IFC where the IBC refers to it.
